Today the Capps campaign is proud to announce the significant endorsement from the Central Coast Labor Council, a coalition of seventy labor unions and organizations throughout Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties. Through community, workplace and political organizing, the Central Coast Labor Council ensures that working people have the fundamental right to representation in the workplace and the ability to democratically organize themselves.
Capps has made improving the well-being of working people and alleviating poverty a cornerstone of her campaign. For decades she has worked on issues such as increasing the minimum wage, expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit, addressing child hunger and raising pay for teachers and school staff.
